Have was published in “Official Gazette” the ordinance implementing the new sustainability factor, which reflects the demographic change and the life expectancy and refers the retirement age to 66 years and two months in 2016.
 

The normal age for access to old age pensions take into account the new factor of sustainability, which reflects the evolution population and the average life expectancy.

Earlier this year, the government changed the rules for calculating that factor of sustainability, which is now calculated based on the ratio between the average life expectancy at age 65 in 2000, until then the reference was 2006, and the average life expectancy in the year preceding the application of the reform. This change has triggered the sustainability factor and the penalty applied to early retirement, and raised the retirement age to 66 years old this year and in 2015.
