Bop today unveils candidates to the purchase of the New Bank – TVI24

There are at least five non-binding offers made in connection with the sale of the New Bank. The deadline given by the Bank of Portugal for the submission of tenders expired on Friday and, according to the Economic Daily, Monday the regulator will reveal the names of the candidates still in the race.

Now the Business Journal said that among some of the offerings and identified the need to inject more capital in the New Bank to enable the institution to be more off of solidity.

Santander, Fosun, Apollo, BPI and Anbang Insurance Group were five of the entities that have made initial proposals, but there will be other stakeholders.

From this Monday the BoP will begin evaluating the proposals. The goal is to select a group of finalists who will be invited to make firm proposals and then to begin direct negotiations with the supervisor.

The goal is to find a buyer for the New Bank by the summer.
