More than two-thirds of the PSI 20 lost value during the week of reopening of Athens – Economic

Under the attention since Monday, when it reopened after the closure forced to June 26, the Athens stock market had, unsurprisingly, the biggest weekly decline in Europe (- 18.14%), very pressured by banking, but half of its listed managed to close in green, while in Lisbon only four of the 18 constituents of the PSI 20 experienced gains.

The biggest drop of the day was for EDP Renováveis, retreating 4.28%, worse record a session from 6 August 2014. retreats beyond the 3% were still Mota-Engil and Pharol. The construction already totals seven down sessions, worst series since October 2014, and in the week just ended, retreats 13.20%.

Worst record in the PSI 20 just the same Pharol, whose 14 71% break in five days made it worth less than 30 cents per share (0.291 euros), an unprecedented level in the quoted history (including when it was still PT SGPS) and that makes this former “heavyweight” in penultimate position the PSI 20 in terms of capitalization – behind only the Teixeira Duarte and Impresa

At the top of the PSI 20 valuations during the week is Portucel, who has won five sessions and with 0.22. % appreciation of Friday, rose to 6.71% five trading days of gains. Behind this balance, Semapa, although the paper add two losses sessions. REN and EDP are the other two listed with gains in the week. They were two of the six listed that were now green.

Also on Friday, and as Lisbon, the major European indexes were falling, down to 0.8% in Frankfurt, which exceeded 0 62% of the PSI 20. On the other hand, Athens appreciated 1.45%, the second session gains in the week, which opened with a decline of 16.23%. The bank continues to pull down the Greek index, accumulating this week more than 50% loss.
