State business sector exacerbates damage by 5% in the 1st quarter 2015 – TSF Online

the state of the business sector’s losses increased 5% in the first quarter 2015 compared to last year, mainly due to the behavior of TAP and Lisbon Metro, reported the General Directorate of Treasury and Finance (DGTF).

“In the first quarter 2015 gives a decrease of the net result of public enterprises at 19 million euros (5%) compared to that seen a year ago, as well as a reduction in the indebtedness level of these in about 718 million (2%) from the end of 2014, “reads the newsletter on the state of the business sector released on the DGTF page.

According to DGTF this worsening of the net loss of State business sector “mostly stems from the sectors of health, transport and storage, highlighting the contribution of TAP and Metropolitano de Lisboa”.

In the first quarter of 2015, state-owned enterprises had losses of around EUR 378 million plus 19 million (5%) than the net loss of 358.7 million euros in the same period 2014.

In the health sector, losses worsened If 41% from 67.4 million in the first three months of 2014 to 95 million in the same period this year.
