Investment picked up by visa gold reaches 89.3 million euros – Daily News – Lisbon

Investment captured more than doubled (131%) in February, compared to January.

The raised investment through visa ‘gold’ more than doubled (131%) in February, compared to January, to 89.3 million euros, according to data from the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF).

last month were allocated 144 Residence permits for Investment activity (ARI), 136 granted for the purchase of property and eight for the transfer of capital, but none by the new rules which came into force in September last year.

of the total raised investment in gold seen in February (89,301,186.43 euros), 91% of the amount (81,203,431.52 euros) still corresponds to the purchase of real estate, with the transfer of capital to total 8,097 .754,91 euros.

in January, the investment had been captured 38,574,620.34 euros, of which 35.8 million euros resulting from the purchase of land and 2.7 million euros of the transfer of capital.

in the first month of the year, was granted a visa ‘gold’ for creating at least 10 jobs.

in cumulative terms, the two first months of the year, investment in ARI amounted to 127,875,806.77 euros, most being (117,057,146.02 euros) for the purchase of real estate, with the transfer of capital totaling 10,818,660.75 euros.

in January and February were allocated 209 visas ‘gold’, 198 for the purchase of real estate, 10 per transfer of capital and the creation of jobs.

by nationalities, They were assigned 143 ARI to China, 18 to Brazil, seven Russians, two south Africans and two the Lebanese in the first two months of the year

China leads the assigned ARI list (2,345 until February), followed by Brazil (123), Russia (104 ), South Africa (77th) and Lebanon (46).
