Wall Street starts in high a of weeks more filled results – Jornal de Negócios – Portugal

The major u.s. indices have opened on a high this Monday, 24 October, after two consecutive sessions of falls, at a height in which a series of announcements of mergers and acquisitions is to encourage the equity markets.

The industrial index Dow Jones rises 0,64% for 18.260,97 points, while the technological Nasdaq advances 0,62% to 5.289,94 points. Already the S&P500 values of 0.5% to 2.152,36 points.

This weekend, the Wall Street Journal said that AT&T has reached an agreement to acquire Time Warner with a value of 107,50 dollars per share, which puts the transaction above the 85 billion dollars (78 billion euros).

The Rockwell Collins announced that it will buy the B/E Aerospace for us $ 6.4 billion and TD Ameritrade Holding has reached an agreement to acquire the Scottrade Financial Services.

The grants of the United States prolong, in this way, the optimism that brand trading in Europe, after you have been revealed this morning that the Euro Zone economy is accelerating to the highest level this year.

This Monday also marks the beginning of one of the weeks longer met in respect of the presentation of the results of the north american companies. More than a third of the companies in the S&P500 reveals its accounts for the third quarter in the next few days, including Apple, the Alphabet and Boeing.

Of the companies that have reported results so far, 80% exceeded earnings estimates and 64% have exceeded projections for revenue.
