The industrial complex in the iberian PSA produces more than half a million units – automonitor

The year 2016 will be in the history of the Industrial complex in the Iberian PSA Peugeot Citroen – made by the production unit of Mangualde, in Portugal, Vigo and Madrid, in Spain – with a total production of 555 thousand units, a growth compared to 2015 of 2.5%. Were also produced 27 thousand units in separate pieces, 40% more than last year.

This industrial hub of the French group manufactures seven different models in four lines of production: Citroen Berlingo, Citroen C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso, Citroen C4 Cactus and Citroen C-Elysée, Peugeot Partner and Peugeot 301 (this for the chinese market, being a C-Elysee with the name Peugeot). The models with the largest numbers of production were the Berlingo (151 thousand units) and the Partner (139 600). Followed the C4 Cactus (81 200), the Grand C4 Picasso (58 100), C4 Picasso (57 300), C-Elysée (39 700) and 301 (28 100).

This industrial hub of the PSA group employs more than eight thousand people and exports 89% of its production. The Production Centre of Mangualde has produced, in 2016, a total of 49 700 units of Peugeot Partner and Citroen Berlingo, an increase of 6.5% over the 2015.

Frédéric Puech, director of the Industrial complex in the Iberian PSA, stated that “the factories of this industrial hub of the iberian peninsula comprise an industrial device highly efficient. Pointing to the future, our main mission is to continue to improve operational excellence and ensure the success of the next releases.”
