THE BCP has indicated, on the 25th of November, that the chinese group Fosun is the largest shareholder of the bank after the capital increase that are subscribed to, in the end-of-previous week, down the angolan oil company Sonangol to the second position.
In the statement sent to the comissão do mercado de Valores Mobiliários (CMVM), the Portuguese Commercial Bank (BCP) has said that following the transaction in which Fosun subscribed to shares in the institution, and that are the equivalent of a social participation 16.7% – has received communications from other shareholders of reference upgrading their holdings.
The information showed that, as expected, were reduced the holdings of the shareholders of reference of the BCP already existing previously and that Fosun is now the main owner of the largest private bank in portugal, having passed the oil company Sonangol to the second position.
The angolan company had, on 18 November, with 140.454.871 shares, which now represent 14,87% of the bank. According to the page of the BCP on the Internet, Sonangol had 17,84% of BCP as of June 30.
As for the Spanish bank Sabadell, held 39.931.512 actions equivalent to 4,23% of the BCP, which contrasts with 5,07% at the end of the first half.
Already in the inter-oceanic, the 16.102.126 shares of this society came to represent a share of 1.70% of the BCP. In June, this investment company had 2,05% of BCP.
