João Mário and Slimani secured the best quarter ever – Daily News – Lisbon

Sales of João Mário and Slimani gave the lions have the “best result ever” in the first three months of 2016/17. Salaries have increased 25%

sales of Slimani and João Mário pemitiram a profit of 63 million euros (ME) in the first fiscal quarter, revealed the Sporting clube de portugal Futebol, SAD, in a statement sent to the Commission for the Securities Market (CMVM).

In the statement, the SAD ‘leo’ reveals to have closed this first fiscal quarter, which took place between July and September this year, with a net profit 62.9 I, against the 74 thousand euros recorded in the same period of last year.

In the note, is highlighted by the fact that this constitute “the best result ever since the society was formed anonymous sports”, having the same been justified mainly with the sales of João Mário and Slimani, who rondaram 70 ME.

The result between the fittings with the sales of players and the acquisitions resulted in the 59,64 million euros, since the income with the sales situated in the 72,88 ME – is included also the transfer of the sporting rights of Naldo to Krasnodar – there is that to deduct the expenses on purchase of players, estimated at 13.2 for ME.

The participation in the Champions League (with an increase of 8.2 ME), the tv rights (which went up by 2.4 ME) and the ticket (an increase of 737 thousand euros) also contributed to the increase in operating income in the order of 59,4%, to 32,2 ME.

The expenses also rose, but the SAD points to the fact that it has been less, taking its rise located in the 31% to 24.5 ME. The SAD ‘leo’ is justified due essentially to wage growth, “a result of investment in technical teams and in professional footballers”, the fundamental “for the recovery of the leadership position of Sporting SAD”.

The liability of the Sporting grew by 11% to 276,8 million euros, justified by the increase in amounts payable to suppliers, as a result of investment in the squad and other current liabilities derived from the discharge of the amount payable to a third party by means of the abovementioned disposals of the athletes João Mário and Islam Slimani.
