The members of the PARTY Fernando ruas, José Manuel Fernandes and Sofia Ribeiro expect that the hearing of the Minister of Finance, Mário Centeno, to be "enlightening".
This Tuesday, in the European Parliament, held (in the framework of the structured dialogue between the European Commission and the European Parliament) the hearing of the Minister of Finance of Portugal, and it will be discussed the possible sanctions to be applied in Portugal, namely the suspension of funds, up to 0.5% of the Portuguese GDP or 50% of the commitments to 2017.
"The Minister of finance has the opportunity to reassure the european partners, clarifying the question raised recently about a possible restructuring of debt. It would be also important to clarify that the deficit 2.98 achieved in 2015 would have avoided the process of sanctions", said Paulo Rangel, the Portuguese head of delegation of the PSD.
José Manuel Fernandes, he was chosen by his peers to be the spokesman of the Committee on Budgets; Sofia Ribeiro was also designated by his peers to be the spokesman of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs. Fernando Streets will act as an effective member of the Committee on Regional Development.
