The court of Auditors assesses “lack of control” from the 2013 to 2015 – RTP

The institution’s report concluded that “the control of the CGD lacks transparency’, taking into account the “not shipping to the shareholder of the documents required by the legal regime of the Public Sector Enterprise”. And it points out that “the approval of the accounts of CGD was carried out with incomplete information”.

The Court of Auditors also notes the existence of impairment losses in the amount of 1,500 million euros, and the exhibition of Caixa Geral Deposits, the risk operations, in the order of 4,500 million.

in Spite of the “weaknesses of control identified” and of the “existence of matters of operation risk,” noted the Court, was not asked for any inspection of Finance to a public bank.

In response to the Court of Accounts, the Ministry of Finance said he was “firmly committed” to increase the control over the business sector of the State.
