The 12 unions representing all employees of TAP must decide by Friday whether or not to advance a general strike four days, found the Mad Money. According to reports the Público newspaper today, if confirmed the stoppage it would take place between Christmas and the New Year, on 27, 28, 29 and 30 December.
The first to decide is the Civil Aviation Pilots’ Union (SPAC) that meets on Wednesday from 15:00 and requires a statement after the meeting. According to the Economic Daily reported yesterday, the strike is one of the defense measures to be taken.
The following are after the crew. The National Civil Aviation Flight Personnel Union (SNPVAC) meets tomorrow, Thursday, from 11:00 and according to the spokesperson of the organization the decision to move to strike will be “concerted with all unions TAP employees” .
And the other 10 unions should meet between now and Friday to decide whether to adhere to the defense, in the opinion of some officials, is the only weapon left due to lack of management communication.
And the Mad Money found the odds to advance to the general strike are great as there is a great discouragement of employees. Not only with the privatization model that was approved by the Council of Ministers about two weeks, but also with the deterioration of the relationship with the current administration with whom some officials say no longer able to communicate.
