Of the 1.5 billion reais (EUR 465 million) spent by tourists last year, 461 million dollars (143 million euros) was spent by tourists associated with the LGBT sector (Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender ).
Most of the visitors of this segment are young men (70% of them are between 20 and 34), graduates and middle-income real 6,800 (2,100 euros).
