Of the 630 workers of the Social Security Institute (ISS) placed in rehabilitation, there are 131 who are at “serious risk” of redundancy, within a year. The warning was left on Wednesday by the Union of Workers of Public Administration (Sintap).
After a meeting with the Directorate-General for Qualification of Workers in Public Functions (INA), the union raised concerns with the process, “taking into account that about 20% (a total of 11 teachers and 120 operational workers) of the more than 600 workers who have been pushed to this unfair situ ation, are in serious danger of being fired after the first year. “
At issue are the workers of the Social Security Institute (ISS) placed in rehabilitation who were under contract and who have never had naming bond. These people receive in the first year, 60% of his salary, and if not replaced other services are laid off.
The remaining workers – those who have always had to link appointment and in 2009 passed administratively to the employment contract of the regime in public functions – can keep on upgrading to receive 40% of salary to retirement age or until they decided to terminate by agreement with the State.
“The probability of dismissal of these workers increases when we see that, throughout the year 2014, were replaced only about 100 workers from a universe of 800 the previous special mobility scheme, “says the Sintap.
At the meeting with the INA, the union was concerned with the ongoing rehabilitation process including the 54 workers of the General Workshops Uniforms and Army Equipment (OGFE).
The union also seeks to strengthen the INA means for workers in retraining are monitored and replaced.
The rehabilitation process started in November, but only in 2015, workers were notified. They left the ISS 630 workers, among operational workers, teachers and technicians of diagnosis and therapy.
