Obama and Castro have spoken on the phone. Meeting is today – Daily News – Lisbon

Barack Obama and Raul Castro will now star in the highlight of the Summit of the Americas, with a historic informal meeting to be held just four months after the two leaders have announced the resumption of diplomatic relations between the US and Cuba, cut from 1961. This is also the first time that Havana is represented at the meeting of state and heads of government.

This is the second time Obama and Castro will be together -. the two shook hands and exchanged a few words the December 10, 2013, during the funeral tributes to Nelson Mandela in South Africa.
