Over a thousand protesters demanded the end of the state of emergency – More than a thousand people showed up on Saturday in Paris to demand an end to the state of emergency that the French Government introduced after the attacks of 13 November.
The protest, organized by several movements, as in the case of ‘We will not give’ and ‘Stop the state of emergency’, described the measure as “ineffective” and “potentiating more fear.”
It is recalled that, despite criticism from human rights groups and other events held in Lyon, Grenoble, Nice and Toulouse, the state of emergency was extended for another three months at the end of last February.
