The parties propose that government authorities could reduce, on its own initiative, the rate of Property Tax (IMI) depending on the size of the household.
This was the way found by the parliamentary majority to minimize the absence of the safeguard clause in IMI, starting next year.
The proposed amendment to the state budget for 2015, it now appears, PSD and CDS provide that municipalities wishing to reduce rates depending on the size of the household.

“We are aware that there are families who were paying much more [IMI] than three years ago and hence the introduction of this clause, that the authorities now analyze each case and, if they have financial possibilities and find that it is the policy that should follow, be able to do, something that had never happened until today, “said Duarte Pacheco.
Among the 50 proposed amendments to the PSD and the CDS showed the budget also included a return to the charities for 50% of the costs that have to power or the allocation of 500 million euros for the recapitalization of hospitals in a difficult situation.
