The Ministry of Environment plans to invest EUR 20 million in flood zones and monitoring system to prevent flooding in eight works and installation of equipment in 25 locations, including 10 million in Coimbra, which highlights the work of dredging.
Investment which will still be visible in 2016, “includes eight works and installation of equipment in 25 locations to measure the flow and simulate their evolution,” announced yesterday the Ministry led by João Matos Fernandes.
The works will have several dimensions and will take place in Lima rivers and Time in Foz do Cávado, the Tamega in Prior Velho Ribeira (next to Trancão) and Mondego, which receives three interventions.
