The Secretary of State for Fiscal Affairs wants the tax authorities examine the initiation of disciplinary proceedings to those responsible for ‘VIP list’ and to submit by mid-June, a plan to protect the data of taxpayers.
In order accompanying the submission of the report of the Finance General Inspection (IGF) to Parliament, and that the agency Lusa had access today, Paul Nuncio gives green light to two major recommendations entity led by Vitor Braz : the prosecution of employees and directors involved in the creation of the ‘VIP list’ of taxpayers in the Tax Authority (AT) and creating a plan of action to secure access to tax data
“. I determine that the general director of AT established, analyze and consider all acts, facts and relevant statements of the respective stakeholders, and its legal framework in order to comply with the recommendation “of the IGF, which advocates the establishment of disciplinary procedures to responsible for creating the ‘VIP list’, says Secretary of State.
Paul Nuncio also wants AT present “an Action Plan containing concrete measures and properly scheduled to meet the recommendations made by the IGF and the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD), which shall be presented to the authority until 19 June 2015 “.
This plan, argues the minister, should respect the principle of confidentiality of tax data, reminding AT is linked to the “principles of legality and equality, and should therefore base their action on transparent and duly justified rules that apply equally to all taxpayers, not favoring some over others.”
