An audit of the Court (TC) to Automatic Transportation System Oeiras Urban (SATU) strongly criticized the mayors of the various parties, who approved the project, but also the administrations who managed, at long the years, municipal company.
With an average of 1.5 passengers per trip and without viability, ‘underground’ or “ghost train”, as became known, ended on 31 May. Each passenger cost to the state, according to the court, between 16-19 euros.
