Renegotiation of road PPP will allow future savings of 7 billion euros

The government on Friday signed new contracts for road public-private partnerships. The minister of economy says that at the end of this process, the state will save on future Euro 7 billion for the state
.
Almost three years after the start of negotiations, the signing of road concession contracts already on paper.
There are six public-private partnerships renegotiated and two assigned sub-concession agreements: the North PPP, Greater Lisbon, Costa da Prata, Grande Porto, Beira Litoral and Beira Alta (Ascendi dealership) and North Interior (the concessionaire Norscut ), which thus decrease the value of 11,400 million euros to less than 9,500 million euros.
According to the minister of the economy, this is a day that should be on the map. “I would like to emphasize, above all, the success of a strategy that was followed”, argued António Pires de Lima.
