Pires de Lima denies responsibility. CDS says PS voted for the law that allows “unreasonable” increases
PS today required parliamentary hearings a matter of urgency with the former ministers of Finance, Maria Luís Albuquerque, and economy, Pires de Lima, on increases in management salaries of the National Authority of Civil Aviation (ANAC).
This application, which is addressed to the President of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Deputy CDS-PP Helder Amaral, also provides for a hearing with the president of Cresap (Recruitment Committee and Selection for Public Administration), João Abreu Bilhim.
Speaking to Radio Renaissance, Pires de Lima says he had no interference in affair. And it ensures that the decision was of the regulatory authority responsibility which now has a remuneration committee.
Hélder Amaral, told TSF, it considers that the increases “are exaggerated fact” and uses the same argument the former minister of the economy:. the former National Institute of Civil Aviation has become the regulator
In addition, the deputy CDS says the PS “unlike the PC and the Bloc participated and voted the same law. It can not now find it strange. He advised the members of the Socialist Party to study a little better the law. “
” This news, widely publicized throughout the day, giving note of a set of behaviors urging clarification. Firstly, because they bring to the public the performance of an organ whose members have been increased to a value that triples the basic salary for the calculation of such remuneration and that should be the prime minister, “justified for the PS countertop application.
The monthly remuneration of Luis Ribeiro, the president of ANAC, increased from 6030.20 euros to 16,075.77; Vice President, Carlos Salgado, stopped receiving monthly 5498.65 euros to spend receivable 14,468.20 euros; and Ligia Fonseca, the board of directors of the vowel received 5141.70 and now receives 12,860.62.
The ANAC, formerly called the National Civil Aviation Institute (INAC) is the regulatory body for civil aviation, responsible for certifying and approving procedures, equipment, organizations, aircraft and infrastructure of civil aviation. Its jurisdiction extends to the entire national territory and airspace of the Portuguese State.
The three board members were appointed by Steps government officials Coelho and began functions in the summer of last year, when where INAC changed its name to ANAC. According to JN, the nomination process was controversial and did not please the Recruitment and Selection Committee for Public Administration (Cresap) and not the Commission of Economy and Public Works of the National Assembly.
PS claims also that “the reading of the law is not reflected this possibility” 150 percent increases and that “contrary to what the law requires, was not performed due publication of the Board of Directors’ remuneration” of this entity.
“Last but not least, we remember the whole process that led to the consideration by Parliament of the President and Vice President of ANAC, whose opinions were highly critical of the names indicated by Cresap and proposed by the Government, and it appears that the previous government proceeded with the appointment of a board member without the same had passed by parliament, and that, according to what was known at the time would have been failed by the very Cresap, “also relies on the socialist bench in the same document.
Today, in a statement to reporters, the spokesman for the PS, John Galamba, said the Socialists are awaiting explanations from the PSD and CDS-PP on this case.
