The inflation rate in Germany in 2014 was 0.9%, the lowest since 2009, when it was 0.3%, informed the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), which confirmed the first provisional estimates.
The low inflation rate resulted mainly from price developments in the second half of the year.
In December, the annual inflation rate was 0.2%, after having encrypted by 0.6% in November.
