Confidence indicators of consumer and business climate rose slightly in January, revealed the National Statistics Institute (INE) this Thursday.
The consumer confidence indicator showed a “slight increase”, reaching the highest level since May 2002. The successive maximum hits indicator and note the INE, recovered a “steep upward trend since the beginning of 2013″.
The entrepreneurs sentiment indicator was in line with consumer confidence, increasing slightly in January. In this case, the evolution stops a negative number of registered economic climate since September.
Looking increases
According to INE, entrepreneurs Manufacturing Industry, Construction and Public Works and Trade are showing more optimism. Sentiment worsened in the Services sector.
Industrial believe in the growth demand and a favorable evolution of stocks . In the case of Construction and Public Works, entrepreneurs believe in a recovery but fear a worsening of the backlog.
The favorable performance of consumer confidence reflected, according to the INE, “the positive contribution of expectations regarding the evolution savings, the economic situation of the country and the financial situation of the household. “
