The household savings rate reached in the third quarter 2014 the lowest level ever in the European Union (EU), according to data released Wednesday by Eurostat.
According to the official office of European statistics, writes the Lusa, between July and September, the household savings rate fell to 10.3%, a historic low since it is made this recording.
In the euro zone, the savings rate was 13.1% in the third quarter of 2014, very close to 13% in the second quarter.
The Eurostat yet released the corporate investment rate, also referring to the third quarter, which was practically unchanged at 21.7% in the eurozone. In the period was 21.6%.
For the whole of the European Union, the rate of investment companies was also stabilized in 22% in the third quarter.
