Injured clients BES invade bank to complain savings – Correio do Minho

A few dozen injured clients yesterday raided the ‘New Bank’ agency in Souto Street, in Braga, in the context of another protest to claim the money they lost after investing in commercial paper of the Holy Spirit Group (GES). The flared tempers forced even the intervention of the National Institute for Medical Emergencies (INEM) as a couple fell ill and had to be assisted inside the bank branch by the medical team car emergency and resuscitation (VMER) and the bike INEM.
 For the site were also mobilized two ambulances:. One of the Volunteer Firefighters of Braga and other local delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross

 “We want our savings” was the most heard phrase in about a hundred demonstrators from various parts of the country, who joined in Braga, similar to what has happened elsewhere.

 Carlos Able, who invested in commercial paper, keeps the hope of being reimbursed the money saved over a lifetim e of work and denounces: “What they are doing is indecent”

 Another voice joined the protest was to Joaquim Cardoso, resident in Espinho. With account for more than 50 years in the BES, this injured client admits that confidence in the institution was total.
 The whole family is there deposited the savings of a lifetime, says Joaquim Cardoso.
 The Governor of the Bank of Portugal, Carlos Costa, is another target of injured clients, denouncing the failures of the banking sector regulator, but criticism extend to politicians.
 “They are recurring scams and none defend the people” points Carlos Able.
 Even after breaking into the bank, protesters claim the orderly status: “who’s here is working people who toil all day. There are troublemakers. “
