Portuguese airline TAP held today only 36% of flights scheduled on the first day strike by pilots, said the Civil Aviation Pilots’ Union (SPAC).
Excluding flights of minimum services, the company made 36% of flights scheduled, according to the union’s accounts, which are contrary to the Government. The finance minister said today, in the early evening, that of the 227 scheduled flights, 155 were carried out until 17:00, ie 70% of scheduled flights. Thirty-one were canceled.
The pilots of TAP today made the first ten days of strike on the grounds that the government is failing to meet two agreements signed in 1999 and in December 2014.
