“White Farm”: probation for three defendants – TVI24

The Criminal Court of Oporto ruled probation for three of the nine defendants in the process “White Farm” , found TVI . The remaining six were with mandatory periodic presentations.

On Wednesday, the Judicial Police of Porto, together with the prosecutor, accompanied by members of the Tax Authority, conducted more than 30 searches, businesses and homes, in Oporto, Lisbon, Coimbra and Braga, in this process, on suspicion of tax fraud.

One of the accused who is in custody is the group owner himself “Fair of Fabrics.” Two others were in custody and the remaining six are prohibited from contact with the defendants and to leave the country.

The four lawyer of the nine defendants, Peter Marino Hawk, later told Lusa that will bring coercion measure of resource applied to its two who were in custody.

The investigation into this case involves a group of companies that have damaged the state in tens of millions of euros in taxes – VAT and IRC.

Last week, nine people were arrested by the PJ, in this operation, on suspicion of tax fraud, money laundering and conspiracy.

According to research, a group of companies was led by “Fair of Fabrics” and acted in network.

The TVI know that the group had been targeted in recent years, search and also an investigation for tax fraud.
