The Government today confirmed the existence of two proposals improved for the purchase of TAP but did not disclose figures, claiming not to have information and it is waiting for the reports of Parpública.
The Secretary of State for Transport Sergio Monteiro, and the secretary of the Treasury, Isabel Castelo Branco, told reporters today at the Ministry of Economy, in Lisbon, reiterating the information had already been disclosed by Parpública.
The Parpública confirmed today which received two proposals for the sale of 61% stake in TAP SGPS, within the deadline set by the government for the negotiation stage:. an Gateway, David Neeleman, and one of SAGEF, Germán Eframovich
“We have no further information [about the values]. Now it is for the Parpública make the report on the proposals,” said Isabel Castelo Branco.
To prepare the report to the Government, Parpública must ask the TAP to assess the industrial and strategic component of the proposals received.
