PS today criticized the Government for having invoked the public interest as a way to counter the suspension of the privatization of TAP, due to an injunction, rather than opt for the abandonment of the process.
“The PS disagrees, very clearly, what is the interpretation that the Government makes the public interest. The prime minister reiterated that, are you looking to continue and accelerate the privatization, claiming to be defending the public interest “, criticized the deputy Socialist Rui Paulo Figueiredo, in parliament.
The CFP labeled the privatization of TAP as a “crime against the economy and national sovereignty”, commenting on the suspension of proceedings ordered by the Supreme Administrative Court (STA) by virtue of a protective order.
“The only way to safeguard the national interest and that the law and the Constitution are respected, is to cancel the privatization,” he defended the communist deputy Bruno Dias, in parliament , adding that “life has given reason to those who have been saying that this process is not only unnecessary as it is a crime against the economy and to national sovereignty.”
