the price of calls made on ‘roaming’ will be one that is practiced in the consumer’s country of origin (price of calls terminating on other networks), and may be increased by a surcharge of five cents per minute, exactly the same rule will be effective for data traffic (domestic price plus five cents per megabyte), according to the rules of the Regulation (EU) 2015/2120 of 25 November 2015.
in the case of SMS (text messages) sent the price will also be charged in the domestic market, but plus a surcharge of two cents (prices excluding VAT).

However, explained ANACOM, the regulation in question allows operators to apply the so-called use of political responsibility, according to which, when the ‘roaming’ beyond the limits of same , a small fee may be charged, not exceeding the maximum limit of the wholesale charges that operators pay for the use of networks of other countries of the European Union (EU).
the Commission, supported by BEREC (Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications), you should define the limits of responsible use until 15 December 2016.
Anacom says that operators may also, in exceptional situations, and if they prove that they can not recover prices associated with the provision of ‘roaming’ charge a separate price of domestic price.
“in addition to the prices set by the Regulation, operators may have other tariff ‘roaming’ for its customers, so it is important that consumers are informed with their providers before traveling, “says the regulator.
in a statement, ANACOM announces it will launch on Wednesday an information campaign in the press, on radio and internet, to warn consumers of the need to contact their operators before traveling.
