The Government of António Costa named in four months 273 leaders in replacement scheme, a mechanism designed to be used only in exceptional situations because contona the need for public tender allowing occupy temporarily vacant positions. The Silva Vieira ministry leads the nominations.
Most of those leaders consist of middle management, but three dozen are senior executives whose appointment requires competition and appreciation of the recruitment committee today advances the Público newspaper.
According to the newspaper the first appointment in substitution occurred in early January, about a month after the inauguration of the Government, and accelerated since then with 80 nominations in March and 136 in April, accounts for the public from the dispatches published in the Official Gazette.
