Following the decision of the German regulator of automobile transport (KBA), the group has green light to call the workshops over 1.1 million commercial vehicles of Volkswagen and Audi.
Last week, the German authorities approved technical solutions to the models Passat, CC and Eos, also with a TDI EA 189 engine of 2.0 liters.
They will be called to review the models Golf, Passat and Volkswagen Tiguan and the A4, A5, A6 and Q5, Audi. Diesel engines of 1.2 liters, 1.6 liters and 2 liters require an update of `software` that, according to Volkswagen, takes place in less than half an hour.
Volkswagen recently involved in a scandal of global emissions in handling diesel announced on May 31 last, a fall in profits of 20.1% to 2.31 billion euros in the period from January to March, by registering a drop of 3.4% in sales to 50.96 billion euros.
Despite the scandal, released in September 2015 and on the 11 million diesel identified defective engines, the number of vehicles sold by the German company Volkswagen rose 0.8% to 2.508 million units worldwide.
