Economic activity comes into negative territory for the first time since 2013 – Jornal de Negócios – Portugal

The Bank of Portugal indicator to measure economic activity reached a negative value in May this year, which happens for the first time since August 2013, year of recession in the Portuguese economy.

Indicator coincident stood at -0.1%, against 0.1% in April. According to the data of the central bank, this is the sixth consecutive fall, and in the first month of this year the indicator was growing 1%.
