The economy of Greece grew 0.2% in the second quarter compared with the previous three months, but decreased by 0.9% on-year. The provisional figures published by the Greek Institute for Statistics (ELSTAT) indicate a downward revision of the initial estimates, published on 12 August, which showed a growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Greece 0 3% in the second quarter compared to the previous three months. the annual estimates were also revised to a drop by 0.7% to a deeper contraction of 0.9% between April and June compared to the same months of 2015. in the first quarter of 2016, the Greek economy showed signs of little vitality , to contract 0.4% in chair and 1.3% over the same 2015.
