Caixa Geral de Depósitos has 185 branches shut down at lunch time – RTP

official Source of the CGD said today to the Lusa news agency that “several years ago that there are Agencies in the Box to shut down at lunch time, differentiated according to the location, in view of the adequacy of the resources to the needs of the customers”, a measure which he considered to be “practice for the sector”.

The mayors of Vila Nova da Barquinha and Constância, in the district of Santarém, said to the Lusa have information that their agencies are going to terminate the period of lunch time already from this month of January, in that they consider a measure “unacceptable” and that “contrary to the objectives outlined in the Program of the XXI Constitutional Government to combat desertification and to the affirmation of the sustainability of the territories of low density”.

Also PS and BE questioned today the Government, through the Ministry of Finance on the General Box of Deposits “will make changes to the operating hours of its agencies” in the district of Santarém, “which, when” and “criteria” underlying the measure.
