The analogues of the Portuguese Bial and the Portuguese State signed an investment contract in the amount of 37.4 million to scientific research in the areas of systems, central nervous and cardiovascular.
This contract extends until 2018, and comes in the wake of the Government approved tax benefits for industrial investments approved in Council of Ministers last December.
“This story demonstrates well how a change of paradigm in the pharmaceutical industry is essential for the success it has today. For decades the industry was in research, not in the production of knowledge, not in innovation, not in the creation of patents, but in the counterfeiting of patents, was an illusion that was built on the future, fortunately, that paradigm was abandoned and today the following is another paradigm”, said the prime minister.
