More than 11,500 couples registered at employment centers of continental Portugal had both spouses are unemployed at the end of November, 8.2% less than in the same period, according to data released today.
According to figures from the Employment and Vocational Training Institute (IEFP) of the total unemployed married or in union, 23,122 people also have record that your spouse is registered as unemployed at the employment office, which is equivalent to 8.6%.
That is, the number of couples in which both spouses are registered as unemployed was at the end of November 2014, 11 561, corresponding to an annual decrease of 8.2% (1,030 couples) and remained unchanged from the previous month (minus two couples).
At the end of November this year, were registered in the employment centers of the continent 564,394 unemployed, and almost half (47.6%) were married or living in a de facto situation, a total of 268,868 .
The unemployment seen in the employment centers of the continent decreased by 14% in November 2014 compared to the same month of 2013 and fell 1.3% in the previous month.
As for the unemployed married or in union, the annual decline in November was 14.3% (-44,940 unemployed), whereas the reduction compared to October was 1.6% (-4274 people ).
