Motorways the responsibility of Portugal Roads will keep the tolls in 2015, once inflation was negative in October, confirmed the public company.
The prices of tolls on motorways will remain unchanged in 2015, the second consecutive year, confirmed to Lusa official source of Portugal Roads.
Speaking to Lusa, Portugal Road reported that there will be no increases in toll rates on highways under their responsibility.
This maintenance toll had already been reported by Business in November, since the evolution of the consumer price index in October, excluding housing – which serves a reference to updating the tolls – was negative year on year, by 0.12%
<. p> The formula that establishes how is it calculated the increase in the price of tolls each year is provided for in Decree-Law No. 294/97 and states that the change to practice each year has reference to the annual rate of inflation excluding housing on the mainland known until November 15, when dealers must inform the Government of its price proposals.
2015 will be the second year in a row that toll rates have not risen in most concessions motorways. Only Lusoponte updated this year the amounts charged on the bridges 25 April and Vasco da Gama, since September is the month used as reference in its concession contract.
