Four new vessels over 200 tons gross tonnage, the first of which will be delivered in 2022, will join the fleet of MSC Cruises and will be based on another new prototype of a next-generation advanced ships and form what is known as the “World Class”. The order involves an investment of 4 billion euros.
MSC Cruises just like signing a letter of intent with STX France for the construction of these new ships will be powered by natural gas liquefied (LNG). MSC Cruises is the first brand of global cruise to develop an investment plan with this extension and grandeur, covering a horizon of more than 10 years, 2014 to 2026, and a total of up to eleven next generation of ships.
