President of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos, made on Monday a number of changes in the Government, which includes the output Armando Manuel the Ministry of Finance. The new owner of the folder is Augusto Archer de Sousa Mangueira, president of the capital market commission. Almost complete 54 years, Augusto hose, a degree in Economics in Germany, was the deputy minister of trade and economic adviser to José Eduardo dos Santos.
Armando Manuel was in charge of finance minister since May 2013, having transited the presidency of the board of the Sovereign Fund of Angola. This move paved the way for the son of the President, José Filomeno dos Santos, lead the fund, which manages assets of about five billion dollars.
Armando Manuel’s departure comes at a crisis context economic in the country, due to the low price of oil (the main source of revenue Angola), difficulties in raising foreign exchange and import of products, and inflation to rise. In the reshuffle announced on Monday, José Eduardo dos Santos also exonerated Edeltrudes Mauritius Gaspar Fernandes from the post of Minister of State Costa and Chief of Staff of the President. This position will be occupied by Manuel da Cruz Neto, current secretary general of the Angolan president. To his place, in turn, will Edeltrudes Fernandes Gaspar da Costa, reports Angop.
Cruz Neto, 58 years and a degree in economics, was also linked to the area of trade, and had gone to secretary -Overall at the time Armando Manuel was appointed to the Finance. The changes include the departure of the Minister of Agriculture, Manuel da Cruz Neto, replaced by Mark Alexander Nhunga.
