Canas, the man who even in prison it was business – Express

Orders for "chocolate" or "televisions" were common in conversations among customers, Montenegro & Keys, the old store of medals from the rua do Ouro in Lisbon. However, none of them wanted to know chocolates, and much less care to buy keys or medals. Were code words used by entrepreneurs, lawyers and leaders of football that appealed to the financial services illegal of Francisco Canas, known as "Zé of the Medals".

All doubt that they were listened to by the authorities. They had reasons for this. The network, which have injured the State at 200 million euros, was dismantled in may 2012 by the team of prosecutors Rosario Teixeira, of the Central Department of Investigation and Penal Action (DCIAP).

Reed, whose death was announced this Thursday, inherited the business, the lawful currency of the family, with license to operate since 1975.
