BTL wants to be “a tourism hub for the Portuguese-speaking world”
The statement was issued yesterday by Vítor Neto, president of the Organizing Committee of BTL, a meeting with the press to the presentation of the fair, where also highlighted the role of the event in the promotion of domestic tourism.
Presenting the BTL 2015 in which was attended by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Adolfo Mesquita Nunes, President of the Organizing Committee of the fair, Vítor Neto, highlighted the good relationship that has been maintained between this tour event, institutions, entities regional associations and companies, to emphasize that the organization has “pugnado by the presence of all and all have thei r honor role in BTL which is the sum of all this.” This said, is one of the BTL secrets, the other being the ability to solve problems.
The President of the Organizing Committee of BTL also made reference to the “exceptional year” in 2014 went to the Portuguese tourism, stating that “BTL also feels a little of this success, the work we have done over the years.” Work to which the organization of the event not declined even in the most difficult years, during which sided with the industry, facilitating their participation in the exhibition. From 2009 to 2012, which were “difficult years for tourism,” during which “companies and sectors fainted before the difficulties (…) BTL made an effort to stay alive. Referring more directly to the next edition of BTL, which will take place at FIL, at the Nations Park, Vítor Neto said that the aim now is to follow the growth of tourism and help consolidate the results, noting that one of the aspects of bet goes through to reach the goal of making the show a “tourism hub for Lusophone”.
The way to achieve this is to be followed since 2010 and this year will be given a new step with a specific hosted buyers program for Brazil, which in future should be extended to other Portuguese-speaking countries, including Cape Verde, Mozambique and Angola.
The hosted buyers program will, in fact, one of the event’s highlights. The program presents this year reinforced, being expected more than 2,500 foreign professionals.
