Mega operation of the Tax Authority led to the seizure of 23 vehicles – publico


 
         
                 
                 

 
 

After announcing have underway this June a large-scale surveillance operation to control the transport of goods, the Tax and Customs Authority has already taken account of the results obtained in the “mega-operation at national level “I took the course on Thursday. The operation, called “X-Ray”, mobilized a total of 270 inspectors of the Tax Authority and 312 staff from the GNR and resulted in the seizure of 23 vehicles circulating irregularly.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, the operation focused on “outstanding property control in the main roads and stepping up checks on air and sea routes.” The prime targets of the operation were the vehicles of general merchandise and vehicles passenger cars with particular reference to the control of transport and invoicing documents, goods subject to Special Consumption Taxes (IEC), tax on oil products and energy products ( ISP) and VAT, and improper use of colored and marked diesel fuel.

the result, in addition to the seized vehicles, was a survey of 173 autos news for tax and customs offenses and 300 by the GNR. In total they were checked 3786 vehicles, of which 23 were monitoring target through scanner Mobile located in Elvas / Caya border.

In the action participated 18 finance directions, nine customs and six customs offices, coordinated by the Directorate for Investigation of fraud Services and Special Shares and the Directorate of customs Services fraud.
