Costa think that growth only surprises who made “catastrophic forecasts” – TVI24

The prime minister considered this Tuesday “encouraging” the latest data about the growth of the Portuguese economy. And stated the same that the results obtained in the third quarter of 2016 only exceed the expectation of the current that made catastrophic forecasts.

António Costa was speaking to journalists after a meeting with the prime minister of Morocco, Abdelilah Benkirane, on the sidelines of the conference of the climate of Marrakech (COP22).

According to the quick estimate today released by the National Statistics Institute (INE), the Portuguese economy grew by 1.6% in the third quarter of this year year-on-year and 0.8% compared to the previous quarter, above analysts ‘ forecasts.
