eBay removes 2,400 jobs by the end of March – Jornal da Madeira

The US multinational e-commerce eBay announced today that will eliminate 2,400 jobs by the end of March, which is equivalent to 7% of the worldwide effective.

The move comes at a time when eBay is preparing to split into two companies, to become independent of its subsidiary PayPal payments.

The group stated today that “explores strategic options,” including a sale or entry into bag for your Enterprise branch, offering services to the major initiatives distribution companies in the field of e-commerce.

The eBay announced a net loss of $ 41 million (EUR 35 million) in 2014, in part due to the tax burden, after a 2-profit, 9000 million (EUR 2.4 billion) in 2013.

For the fourth quarter of 2015, eBay estimates, however, net income for high, on the order of 10% 936 million (EUR 805 million)
