Searches on Google’s offices in Paris on suspicion of tax fraud – Daily News – Lisbon

About 100 inspectors will be on site

Google’s offices in Paris are being Tuesday target of searches for suspected tax evasion, advances the French Le Parisien . According to the newspaper, from the five local morning (an hour in Portugal) that are in place about a hundred employees of tax authorities and the French brigade of repression of financial crime, accompanied by five judges.

the Parisien quotes a source that ensures that the operation was organized in a “top-secret” to prevent leaks, following a complaint by the French Ministry of Finance.

Google’s offices have been targeted search operations in France in June 2011.

So far, the US technology giant has not yet commented on the searches.

In February, recalls Reuters, a source at the French Ministry of Finance has already held that the country demanded that Google paid 1.6 billion in taxes, criticizing the aggressive techniques tax payment optimization used by the company.
