Taxi drivers want every service performed from the arrivals hall of Lisbon airport pass costing a minimum of 20 euros.
According to the Daily News, the payment of 20 euros entitles you to a journey of about 15 kilometers, from there the normal rates are.
In the arrivals terminal pass to enter only certified cabs, air conditioning and uniformed drivers.
This proposal is the result of an agreement between taxi associations, ANA Airports and the City of Lisbon. The document only expect the signing of three shares.
The project also provides that the ANA receives one euro for each service performed from the Portela, a rate that has been challenged by the Ministry of Economy.
Lisbon wants to follow the path of other European capitals such as Madrid and Athens.
Also the traffic rules near the terminals should change. ANA intends to condition the access with the introduction of barriers, with free parking for 10 minutes.
In Faro these rules are already meet in the summer starting in Porto at the end of the year and in Lisbon in early 2016.
