The statement released Monday by the Competition Authority reveals that the five companies were convicted of anti-competitive practices in public procurement markets for prefabricated to Parque Escolar company.
The companies involved have agreed to distribute among themselves the tenders within the Parque Escolar modernization program. The inquiry had been instituted by the regulator to 8 January 2014.
The Competition Authority also unveiled that Algeco companies, Levatrans, Movex, U & amp; M and Vendap Group combined between 2009 and 2010. fixing the selling price so as to artificially determine the winners.
“In particular, companies manipulated the respective tendering proposals, setting the level of the same prices in order to artificially determine the winner of each competition,” says Competition in a statement.
The companies involved have abdicated contest the survey through the courts.
