Altogether there are 43 personalities that PSD wants to hear in the context of the inquiry committee to the Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD). And the names are varied and range from former finance ministers (of both parties) to former directors box. This lot, the Social Democrats did not include prime ministers.

The new PSD application was submitted this afternoon and will be discussed at the meeting of the committee of inquiry to be held this Friday morning. Members that commission of inquiry proposed for consideration by the remaining members these hearings, after carrying out already agreed: Mario Centeno, Minister of Finance, Carlos Costa, Governor of the Bank of Portugal, and the chairman of the board of directors of CGD, José de Matos.

The party wants to hear all those responsible for the Finance portfolio since 2000 and it covers: Guilherme d’Oliveira Martins (PS), Manuela Ferreira Leite (PSD / CDS), Bagão Felix (PSD / CDS), Campos e Cunha ( PS), Teixeira dos Santos (PS), Vítor Gaspar (PSD / CDS) Maria Luis Albuquerque (PSD / CDS) and Mario Centeno (PS).

the request for a hearing will still the former presidents of the Caixa Geral de Depósitos António Fernandes de Sousa, Vitor Costa Martins, Carlos Santos Ferreira and Faria de Oliveira. It also requests the presence of nine executive directors, which punctuate the names of Francisco Bandeira, Armando Vara, Mira Amaral or Nogueira Leite, including most members of the Cash and audit committees.

in the extensive list of responsible listening – most presented by the parties so far – PSD also states the governors and vice governors for banking supervision, which highlights the name of Vítor Constâncio, current vice president of the European Central Bank. Social Democrats insist on the completion of an external audit. The case has given problems in the discussion in Parliament. First presented the proposal to conduct an external audit, commissioned by Parliament, it voted an opinion that prevented it to be illegal. Now this same judgment left the door open for the possibility of an audit of this kind can be carried out under a commission of inquiry, which has other powers.
